The gap between what’s working and what everyone writes about keeps getting wider. Half the “what’s working” takes are just last year’s tactic with a new name on it. Before I publish I skim what themes actually showed up across my own feed that week instead of guessing. Built http://snapfast.ai for exactly that.
Thanks for sharing the report, I find it very helpful to hear from people inside the trenches.
I am not at Salesforce anymore and a bid disconnected from the marketing evolution and a few things caught my attention in your analysis:
1 Paid advertising: anyone spending $$$ has to use AI to optimize ads; it's not even an option. I am just surprised you mentioned it as a nice benefit. Are marketing teams that behind with AI?
4 Social Content: you live it and there's a great opportunity for independent creators much less so for promotional company content; even the "thought leadership" ear is over and needs to be redefined. I do think that turning your employees into social promoters and using simple processes and AI to help them can bring huge dividends. Obviously, the jey challenge here is incentives and changing employee habits. When a CMO pitches it to employees, he's just one more guy asking employees to contribute to one of dozen "company strategic priority". I guess you've live this
6 Prospecting - see my comment for 1. Are we that behind?
8 I teach AI to business professionals. What I see is at the opposite of what you describe. It's no only AI illiteracy but no one has a clue how to use AI. You and I do cool stuff with AI but we're in the top 0.1%. Good luck asking an employee in an interview to show you live a few marketing processes he ran on AI.

Very interesting to hear recruiters wanting to see how they used AI in interviews.
